External Insulation Finishing Systems insulate buildings not only against temperature loss, but also against heat: In hot climates, well-insulated houses are kept cool with less energy expenditure. As, for example, is the case with three new hotels in Yas Island in Abu Dhabi – the Centro, the Rotana and the Marina –, which have been furnished with External Insulation Finishing System (EIFS) by BASF.

Efficient cooling even at desert heat
SENERGY® systems have reliable insulation properties and enable high energy efficiency for air conditioning. Furthermore, they improve interior climate and prevent condensation formation on walls and ceilings. On the long-term they reduce costs for air conditioning by up to 55 percent and conserve natural resources.
Highest aesthetic standard
SENERGY® EIFS basically consist of four components: an adhesive mortar, expanded polystyrene insulation boards, a reinforced base coat and a customizable finish. An optional secondary weather barrier complements the system. The advanced chemical composition of the outer layer does not only allow for design flexibility, the finish is also resistant to breaking and tearing as well as low maintenance. Furthermore, these EIFS can be used on the most diverse of shapes, such as arcs, pillars, as well as intricate ornaments.
