The client asked especially on concourse Level 2 for a 10-year guarantee that the 14,600m² floor space would be able to handle the pedestrian and vehicular traffic as well as be protected against environmental conditions.
With flooring solutions by BASF, the Green Point Stadium in Cape Town is thoroughly prepared. Mastertop® 1332 is non-slip, crack-bridging, extremely abrasion-resistant, and resilient to ultraviolet radiation. It also provides reliable waterproofing, deals excellently with the anticipated traffic, and the surface profile can be adapted variably to meet different needs. Before applying Mastertop® 1332, all expansion joints are sealed with Masterflex® 150, a flexible silicone-based joint sealant. Ucrete® UD 200 is the specific flooring solution for all kitchen and catering areas.
