BASF opens purpose built construction materials facility in Qatar 

BASF Construction Chemicals together with Construction Materials Company , a registered Qatari company in the field of building materials supply, announce the opening of their new construction materials facility in Qatar.

The purpose built facility in the new Salwa Industrial Area covers nearly 9500 m2 and is home to BASF Construction Chemicals’ Sales and Technical Services team supporting its many customers in the State of Qatar.  The extensive storage area, with over 1,400 pallet spaces and a purpose built chilled store, enables BASF to offer a fast turnaround logistics service throughout the country.

Speaking from the newly opened offices, Tony Moorat, Regional Manager Construction Systems stated “Our qualified technical services staff now operate from ample training and sample making rooms which together with a modern concrete testing facility offers our contractors, applicators and ready-mix customers unrivalled levels of specialized support." 

To better assist our concrete producing client base, BASF Construction Chemicals has opened its first concrete admixture blending plant in the country with a capacity of over 65,000 tonnes a year. "Our aim is to provide our many site batch, precast and ready-mix concrete customers with an industry leading level of service and technical support.  Our new admixture blending plant and associated concrete testing laboratories will enhance the already high standards of service that has been associated with our company in the State of Qatar for 30 years.
