Heritage protection with HECK® MultiTherm interior insulation 

Often exterior insulation is not an option for technical or legal reasons. In such cases the insulation of exterior walls has to be achieved from the inside without being visible from outside. The new HECK® MultiTherm interior insulation systems provide three different solutions for doing so: HECK® DP MIN mineral insulation render is particularly well-suited for historic masonry and timber framings. HECK® DP EPS special-purpose render can even be used on rugged masonry and can be applied directly onto masonry or mineral render surfaces without coating, and without any problematic hollows. The HECK® MS interior insulation board is a mineral-based insulation panel suitable for installation on walls and ceilings.

Moisture accumulation is prevented

Due to their special properties, all HECK® interior insulation systems significantly reduce the risk of mold fungus formation, because they prevent moisture accumulation. They also cause surface temperatures on the inside of walls to be higher. In this way, the interior surfaces of exterior walls are protected from condensation. They also are permeable to water vapor, allowing it to be discharged from the building. And finally, the MS interior insulation board especially is capable of absorbing large amounts of water, which then can no longer accumulate on the surface.
